Kindle drops “Download & Transfer via USB”
Amazon · · Feature degradation
From 26 February 2025 Amazon removed the option to download purchased Kindle books to a computer and copy them to a Kindle over USB. Wi-Fi delivery still works.
Why it counts
Buyers lost the easiest way to keep their own backup copy of books they paid for.
